JOHN STOCKWELL: SECRET WARS OF THE CIA - REVISED AND EXPANDED EDITION
This is an updated edition of the first Crisis Editions title published in 2018 as a two-part zine. The original booklet published in 2018 contained a transcript of a 1987 talk Stockwell delivered detailing his work within the CIA. This book contains the updated and expanded essay version of the talk Stockwell published in his 1991 book The Praetorian Guard: The U.S. Role in the New World Order. This book also contains supplemental material and updated formatting not found in the 2018 version.
John Stockwell is a CIA whistleblower best known for his 1974 book In Search of Enemies, extensive public speaking and many appearances on the public access alternative news program Alternative Views.

ASSASSINATIONS IN OUR TIME is a 1977 book detailing 20 assassinations of various political and social figures over from the beginning of the 20th century to the book’s printing in 1977. Each entry places the figure in historical context and examines the circumstances and fallout of the figure’s death. The books also contains a number photos for each entry.
For this reproduction the text was reformatted to be more legible than its original printing and all images were individually bitmapped to be more suited for the method of printing used.

CRISIS LIBRARY ONLINE
The Crisis Editions Library is an online library through which visitors are able to “borrow” texts and print them themselves. Each text was reformatted specifically for this mode of distribution. The project is an extension of the CRISIS EDITIONS publishing project. Limited quantities of the texts were also distributed through the mail. The project launched as part of the 2020 Vancouver Art Book Fair's Art Book Month.

SIMULACRA & SIMULATION
Complete reproduction of French sociologist’s Jean Baudrillard’s 1981 philosophical treatise. The book investigates the relationship between symbols and reality, and how the diffusion of symbols through media and culture construct our understanding of a shared reality.
Originally published in French in 1981, the widespread 1983 Semiotexte English release of the book (titled just SIMULATIONS) is actually incomplete translation and includes just one essay from the original 1981 release, with the rest of the book containing made up of a essay written by Baudrillard in 1977. The book was eventually translated in its entirety in 1994 in a University of Michigan Press release. The version published here is the 1994 version.

CE001 - SEDUCED AND ABANDONED: THE BODY IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD
The Body in the Virtual World was a 1994 conference held at the ICA in London on the topic of the relations between cyberspace and the body. The conference featured a number of speakers, most notably sci-fi author Bruce Sterling and theorist Sadie Plant. The entire conference has been dubbed onto two audio cassettes from an online archive.

The Ecology of Fear was a 1992 pamphlet by American sociologist Mike Davis. The pamphlet details how fear, surveillance technology, Neighborhood Watch programs and municipal legislation lead to the stratification of neighbourhoods and reinforcement of social hierarchies.

Two-part found text zine, text is a transcript of a speech by John Stockwell, photos sourced additionally. John Stockwell was the highest ranking CIA member to leave and speak publicly about his work for the organization. The book contains a transcript of a speech originally given in 1986 and distributed on BBS boards throughout the 1980s and 90s. Additional photos have been added to this reproduction from seperate sources.
